Better Than Takeout: 10-Minute Chili Oil Soup Dumplings
There’s something deeply satisfying about pulling a box of frozen soup dumplings from the freezer and knowing dinner or a late-night snack is handled. Bibigo's chicken or pork soup dumplings deliver that rich broth and savory filling, but straight from the microwave, they can fall a little flat. The wrapper is tender, the soup is comforting, but it’s missing that punchy finish you’d expect from a restaurant. That’s where a spoonful of chili oil changes everything.
There are so many creative ways to use chili crisp in your food, and Mama Teav’s Hot Garlic Chili Crisp brings the texture and depth that frozen soup dumplings don’t have on their own. The crunchy garlic hits first, followed by rich umami and a steady warmth that settles into the savory filling and broth. Instead of dipping your dumpling into a thin sauce, you’re layering on flavor that clings to the wrapper and builds with every bite. In under 10 minutes, you go from a basic freezer snack to something that tastes intentional.

Ingredients
- 4 Bibigo's frozen soup dumplings (chicken or pork)
- 2 tablespoons Mama Teav’s Hot Garlic Chili Crisp (OG Heat)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon black vinegar
- Green onions or sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat the frozen soup dumplings according to package instructions (a microwave works, but steaming is always better).
- While the dumplings heat, mix the soy sauce and vinegar into Mama Teav’s Hot Garlic Chili Crisp in a small bowl.
- When finished, spoon the hot chili crisp generously over the dumplings, letting the oil coat the dumplings.
- Add some green onions or sesame seeds on top if desired and serve immediately.
Frozen dumplings in, takeout vibes out. The crunchy garlic, deep umami, and real heat from Mama Teav’s turn a quick snack into something you’d happily pay for.
